And there are a couple of classic shows that I assume you already know about by now ( Orange Is the New Black! Broad City- IYKYK!). Just as an FYI: This list focuses primarily on celebratory shows- The Handmaid's Tale has queer characters but puts them through so much it's not exactly a fun watch, ya know? There are also a ton of shows that have made LGBTQ+ characters part of their ensemble (bless), including Grey's Anatomy, but this list prioritizes the shows that put relationships between women front and center. But! Compared to even a couple of years ago, this list is so much more expansive, and that is a delight. Romantic and/or sexual relationships between women are still less than fruitful, as are shows dedicated to lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual characters (plus, there's been a depressing amount of cancellations/series endings for my taste). And recently, there's been an abundance of shows featuring queer characters that don't rely on stereotypes or make me constantly worried they're gonna deploy a ' bury your gays' story arc.

It's a breath of fresh air to see LGBTQ+ characters on-screen living their best lives.
